Early learning providers complete 10 hours of annual in-service training. In-Service is required after 12 months of cumulative employment. The annual training requirement is based on the DCYF fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). Five in-service training hours may be carried over from one fiscal year to the next fiscal year.

As of Apr. 1, 2017, the requirement for staff to be supervised before completing their pre-service training (within 90 days) goes into effect. At this point, anyone who has not completed his or her pre-service training requirements would need to be supervised by someone who . has. already completed training.
